We interviewed car enthusiast, Alex Ventura for his take on modifying vehicles.
Read below to see what he shared!
“I have always been a fan of modified rides, all makes, and models. I appreciate the time and dedication some individuals have put into their rides, even if I don’t share the same style. I grew up around American Muscle cars, more specifically Chevy Camaros. My dad owned one when I was a kid and he modified and was continually adding more performance modifications.
When it was time for my first car, my parents helped me purchase a Honda Civic as they were very reliable and good on gas. It didn’t take long for me to start modding that car. Shortly after that ’The Fast and the Furious’ movie came out, which ignited another spark in the import tuning world.
Since then I have been around the local car scene.
Fast forward to today, I was once again looking for something good on gas since I drive around the large city of Houston attending various car events here. I tend to like unique cars so I ending up purchasing a 2013 Hyundai Veloster. It took some time to initially start modifying that ride, but I was finally able to. I still have some plans for the car, but for now, I think it looks great sitting on Voxx wheels, lowering and sporting a complete lip kit with some performance mods hidden under the engine. IT’s not a fast car by any means, but I always like giving the rides an extra bit of pep over factory.”
